Andorinha Bridge

Built over the beautiful Seia river, the Andorinha Bridge is located next to the peaceful small village of Andorinha, on the wonderful Oliveira do Hospital region.

The origins of this bridge are lost in time, even though some name it as “Roman”, as in the region several archaeological vestiges can be found, demonstrating the Roman occupancy of the territory in long gone times.
Nevertheless, the architectonic features denote a medieval style, leading to the thought that it might have been re-built or even built over a previous structure, built in the Roman occupancy period.
This is a place of great natural beauty, filled with peace of mind, covered with gorgeous luxuriant vegetation.
